Description: Lens Retroillumination photograph showing lens vacuoles in 67 years old woman. Lens vacuoles are clear, spherical fluid-filled spaces within the lens cortex. They tend to occur in isolation and appear to have minimal effect on vision, although they can be a component of posterior subcapsular cataract and. eventually lead to cortical cataract too.
