Dear colleagues and friends,
We are pleased to welcome you to the 3rd edition of the Ocular Imaging and Artificial Intelligence Congress (SMIO.IA), which will be held on January 9th and 10th, 2026, in Rabat.
This congress serves as a platform for exchange around innovations in anterior and posterior segment imaging from A to Z, as well as advances in artificial intelligence applied to ophthalmology.
We are delighted to relaunch the Eye Image Award competition, which will once again recognize the four best images this year.
We are honored to share this new edition with you.

Submit your image for the competition "Eye Image Award"
Competition Open to Residents and Ophthalmologists
Conditions to be met by the image:
- The image must illustrate a pathology of the anterior or posterior segment, accompanied by a caption not exceeding 3 lines.
- The image must be original and never previously submitted to another competition, nor published as an article, oral communication, or poster.
- The image must not be retouched or edited.
- Accepted formats: jpeg or png, with a minimum resolution of 600 dpi.
- Minimum file size: 1 MB.
- Image montages or composites are not accepted.
